A Quick Slimming World Guide
As it is my first post, I'll give you a quick guide to a slimming world day.
There are 3 plans that you can follow whilst on slimming world, they are; red, green and extra easy.
On a red day you are primarily eating meat, fish, meat substitutes, fruit and vegetables and you can eat as much of this as you like. You need to limit your carbohydrates.
On a green day, you are primarily eating pasta, rice, potatoes, fruit and vegetables and you can eat as much of this as you like. You need to limit your meat, fish and meat substitutes.
On an extra easy day, you can eat as much meat, fish, pasta, rice, potatoes, fruit and vegetables as you like.
All plans work. People are shocked that the extra easy plan works but it really does. However if you want to either boost your weight loss or you have dietary requirements that restrict you from eating carbs or meat then red or green maybe best for you.
You can either stick to one plan or alternate days if you like. I will be mostly following extra easy with a few red days thrown in.
I'll tell you about extra easy as this is the most popular slimming world plan and the plan that I am following today.
You have a list of fruits and vegetables that you can eat unlimited amounts of, as well as unlimited amounts of lean meat, fish, potatoes, rice, pasta and various other foods. The only limit is your appetite, you DO NOT need to weigh foods. You can also have 2 healthy extras, one A choice and one B choice. A provides you with calcium whilst B provides you with your fibre. ALWAYS choose once from each list daily. I won't list everything as the list is long as this is what membership is for ;)
Lastly you have your syns. These are for anything that is not unlimited. Your alcohol, chocolate, crisps, cakes, takeaway etc. Treat food really. You can have between 5 and 15 a day. Everything has a syn value, the list is in your food directory (you get this when you join).
I'm afraid this is all I can really tell you. I could go on about it forever but I am among the members who want to help others as much as I can but also not be unfair to members who pay by giving all the information away. I just want you to understand my food diaries when I am writing about syns and healthy extras. Please just post a comment if you want to now anything in particular and I will always try to help you.
